red headed bull finch in Tirthan 2012 April with Mistima
April 2011: This was my first
sighting of red headed bull finch just behind Khem Bhai's) guest house. Shall never forget the sight of such a large flock foraging on the ground which will be forever etched in my memory. My aunt Ishani and Bikash were there with me. Tirthan is a place I can go any number of times, only to see these birds. In this trip, Mistima, Ishani, Anjana and Biskash were part of the group. We stayed at Hotel Trout Valley owned by Khem Bharti. Of course everything was arranged by our close friend Shri Panki Sood. Without him it is impossible to imagine a visit to Trithan.
